Shopping

It's Monday now two days at the new house and let's just say I love it. A really cool feature we figured out yesterday was that there's an intercom system. So my mom can grab the phone in the kitchen and tell me in my room to come downstairs. That's really good because I also don't want my parents having to walk up the stairs a lot.

My bed is so comfortable I honestly feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. The wifi guy and the pool guy and the gardener guys are all coming today at different times so my dads going to stay home and deal with them.

I check my phone 9:30 am alright, I get out of my really comfortable bed and make it again the way it was when I got here. I go to my closet and pick out a shirt and some jeans paired with my high top vans.

I walk to the shower and turn on the hot water and it falls from the roof. I turn it towards the cold water so it can get a bit cooler. I walk in when it's just right and rinse my hair out. I brought some small travel shampoo and body wash so I need to buy some big ones today.

I sing stay by Sam Smith, this big bathroom makes me sound even better than I really am. I wash out my hair and then use a wash rag to wash my body. I sing and dance around in the water for a bit more I have lots of space to dance now, I won't be worried about slipping and falling.

I get out and grab a towel from the stack on the white cabinet next to the sink. I dry my body and then I wrap it around my hair. I walk naked back into my room my curtains are closed anyways and it's not like anyone will see me.

After getting dressed I go downstairs where dad is making scrambled eggs and toast. "Buenosdias papa" I say and sit down on the bar next to where my dad is. "Buenosdias Elena" he says putting some eggs on a plate with his toast.

"Do you want me to make you some eggs?" I shake my head and say "I think mom and I are going to get something on the way to the mall". He nods.

"I love the house dad what do you think about it is it like the one you've always wanted?". He sits a bar stool over. "It's a nice house but what I love the most is all the land that came with it, I'm going to talk to the gardener guy and ask him where I can but avocado trees so we can plant some and maybe some lemons too"

My dad has worked on ranches all his life so now he has one of his own and he can't wait to get working on it. He loves animals too so we might have some chickens running around soon. I don't mind animals I love animals.

"Can we make a stable and have a few horses pa I've always wanted to learn to ride them and take care of them" he nods and says "I'll ask around see where I can get a few" I smile, yes!

My mom comes into the kitchen and says "Ready it's getting late I wanna go grocery shopping too so we should leave if we want to be home by dinner"

I stand up kiss dad on the cheek and say "We will bring you something ok" my mom kisses him as well and then we get in the car.

We drive down the hills and then I tell my mom where to go so we can get to the grove. I turn on the radio where the new Shawn Mendes song is playing and  I'm jamming out.

When we get to the grove my mom parks closest to the shops because she hates walking. We are starving so the first thing we do is stop at a cafe and have some brunch.

"What store do you want to go to first mom where should we start accessories, shoes, makeup, clothes?"

She says while drinking some iced coffee "Let's go get shoes first" I clap my hands and say "Yay I love shoes".

When we finish eating we leave a 10 dollar tip and then walk down a few shops until we see a shoe store. At first when we walk in I guess we don't look like the kind of people they usually get so the employees pretty much ignored us.

I see some really pretty heels and I show my mom and tell her how I need heels because we might get invited to parties. She says "Elena, mija, you don't have to explain to me why you need to buy thing anymore you can buy whatever you want but just buy things that do fit you and that you will wear ok"

That's true were rich I don't need to explain to her anything. I grab the nude heel and go up to the ladies at the desk.

"Hello, I was just wondering if I could get a size 8 in these so I can try them on please" the girl looks at me and then at the heel. She grabs the heel from my hand and goes into the back. I smile and turn around to keep looking at the shoes.

When the girl returns I already have two other pairs of shoes I want to try on. She hands me the box and I try the heels while she gets the other ones.

"Hey mom look at these!" She stands up and walks to me she's wearing some black sandals that tie around the ankle. "Wow those are nice" I say. She does a little spin I laugh and say "It's a yes for me, what do you think mom I like these a lot" she looks at them and makes me turn, I turn and she says "Yes I like those"

The girl comes back and says "Here you go size 8 in the flats and the only size we had for the boots is a 9" I nod and sit take off the heels and put them back in the box I give her the box and say "I'm taking these can you hold them at the desk for me please" she rolls her eyes and walks away with them.

My mom says "I'm going to keep looking tell me when you are ready to pay", I nod and sit down to put on the flats, they are black with white rose pedals scattered around them. I slip them on and viola they fit. I stand up and walk around in them yup these are fine.

Next I grab the big box and take out the long grey knee high boots. I put on my sock again and put on the boot I slip it all the way up and tie them at the top. "Mom?" She turns around and says "Those look like Kylie's, I like them they look nice on you"

I take it off and put it back in the box. I grab both boxes and say "Mom you ready?" She stand up with her 3 boxes and nods we go to the desk and start the process.

"I'm taking these two and the nude heels" I say, the girl scans all three boxes and says "Will you be paying cash or credit today?" "Cash". The girls eyes widen and she says "Your total is 650 dollars"

I take out my wallet and take out 6 hundred dollar bills and then a 50. I hand them to her and she hands me my receipt. My mom pays for her shoes and we leave.

Next store we go to is Top shop. I always wanted to buy at that store but everything was too expensive for me but now I can buy there so I go in and start looking around for cool shirts and jeans. My mom doesn't like anything in the store so she sits on one of the couches with our shoe bags.

I find lots of cool black jeans so I grab 5 of those all different styles and then a few pairs of blue jeans. Then I find lots of cool print shirts, a black one with red roses, a white one with purple flowers around it and a few others that are all super cool. I find normal white and black shirts and grab those. I hand the things that I know fit me to mom and go try the rest which all also fit me.

I go back to mom and say "Ok I'm ready I'm going to go pay wait for me outside alright" she's half asleep on the bench but she stands up takes the shoe bags with her.

On my way to the register I see an awesome bomber jacket that's blue and has white stripes with white birds sowed on the back so I grab one my size and put it in the bag full of stuff I'm buying.

I get in line for the register and there's some girls in line behind me and I can hear them walking about me.

"What is she paying with Monopoly money?" "Ugh look at her hair what even" "Is that even an outfit?" I'm a pacifist alright but girls like these get me so mad I just want to punch them all. "Look at the hot guy I hope we get him" one of them says, I smile because I'm next and he just finished with a customer.

I walk to the cute boy at the register. "Hello, did you find everything you were looking for?" he asks his name tag says Michael. I smile and say "Now I did" He laughs and says "Well I'm glad you did" Those girls next to me just give me dirty looks.

"You have really pretty eyes Mike I'm jealous" he smiles and says "Thank you so much, you went to town did you clean out your closet or something?" he's only scanned the jeans wow I did get a lot.

"No, I just moved here so I decided I was going to start fresh so I needed clothes first" he smiles and says "Oh where did you move from?"

"Total is 110.50" the girl next to Mike says the girl that said my outfit was trash gets out 105 and then asks her friend for 5 more, she looks to her other friends I assume for the 50 cents. I open up my wallet and slip the 50 cents to the cashier who smiles and takes the rest of the money on the counter.

"Thanks" the girl says looking guilty at me. "No problem girl" I say and wave at them as they walk away.

"That was nice of you" Mike says scanning a shirt. "Oh sorry yeah I moved from San Diego" he nods and scans the last white shirt. He grabs the jacket and says "This is a sick jacket nice price too only 70 bucks".

I nod and say "Yeah I need a new jacket"
"So where do you live downtown, Santa Monica, sunset?"
"The hills, actually" he nods and says "Oh cool I live close like 20 min"

He finishes and says "Total is 1,200 cash or card?"
I smile and swipe my card "Card I spent all my cash on shoes"
He laughs and says "I've been there, alright here are your clothes.."
I see him pull out the receipt and grab a pen and scribble something down.

"I wrote my number call me I'll show you my LA" he winks and puts the receipt in the bag I smile and say
"Will do have a nice day Mike"

I grab my jacket which Mike so kindly put in a plastic cover, and my 6 bags of stuff. I find mom who is resting her head against a pillow. I hit her foot with my foot and she wakes up.

"Let's go I'm done here" my mom looks at all the bags.
"I hope your dad doesn't get mad at you" I grab my shoe bags and swing them over my shoulder with the jacket.
"He won't, because we are going to buy him some stuff too" I stick my tongue out and smile.

Pretty successful shop I would say, and we've still got 4 hours to kill until dinner.
