Australia, a country that feels like another world, where evolution has stopped long ago and peaceful lives were disturbed by explorers. In this country I met the most mysterious and gorgeous bird in the world - the Hawk Owl. It glazed at me with its deep, thoughtful eyes when I approached him. I never saw such a wondrous creature in the wild. Gently and slowly I reached out my hand towards this amazing animal. He responded with a little nod and his head went on the side, his eyes studying me with curiosity.
Suddenly he flew on my hand and his little claws gripped my wrist like a baby searching for support. I couldn't move my eyes from this cute little creature. With awe I stared at him, he knew that I could harm him but he trusted me and even let me to stroke his feathers.
Before he flew away he hooted something in his own language and with a gentle nod and wink in his big, yellow eyes he went away, into the dark wilderness.
